Connecting Minds: Building Collaborations Across Penn
MindCORE affiliated faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students are invited to join a day of community connection at the beautiful Tyler Arboretum. Take one day off campus to foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose within the MindCORE and Penn communities, and make plans and connections for progress in the year ahead.
Buses will bring attendees to and from Penn’s campus to Tyler in the morning and at the end of the day. Parking is also available for those who wish to drive themselves.
Goals:
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all new MindCORE affiliates (faculty, postdocs, and grad students) to connect with colleagues across Penn.
- Strengthen interdisciplinary collaborations and a sense of community among all MindCORE faculty and trainees.
- Facilitate informal knowledge sharing and connection among researchers across fields.
Address challenges and brainstorm solutions for the future of academia, including issues like academic freedom, research funding, and the decline in graduate trainees. - Provide an opportunity to recharge and connect with nature to gear up for the academic year.

Bus Information
Buses will depart from the Lynch Labs loading dock at 8:30am. If you’re riding the bus, please plan to arrive by 8:20am. Lynch Labs is located at 433 S. University Avenue, and the loading dock entrance is around the backside of the building on Guardian Drive:
