The Social and Behavioral Initiative (SBSI) supports interdisciplinary research in the social and behavioral sciences. Each semester, SBSI supports undergraduate students who are interested in research through the Research Assistant Training Program (RATP). This year, the course will be led by Postdoctoral Fellow Daniel Yudkin and will introduce students to important tools in behavioral research, including Qualtrics, SONA, and the Open Science Framework. It will also feature several lessons on analyzing data in R, including performing statistical analysis, writing basic functions, and generating data visualizations. Students will finish the course with the tools they need to be a productive and successful member of any research laboratory.
Classes will take place virtually, with asynchronous instructional videos assigned each week and live office hours taking place from 4pm – 5pm each Wednesday from February 23rd through April 6th. Students can find the application for the program here.
