Science Communication Workshop: Scientific Writing

January 21, 2020
10:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Using Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to Communicate Science

This workshop is designed to improve interactions within the scientific community, as well as between the community and the public through platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The focus of the workshop will be extracting the most utility out of these platforms to interact with fellow scientists and the public through effective posts and to provide strategies for boosted engagement. The in-class and take-home exercises will allow you to evaluate multiple examples of successful scientific accounts (both institutional and personal) and use learned lessons to design your own high engagement posts on the platform of your choice. Food will be served! Registration will open in February.
