Improving Decision-Making

Societal decisions about issues such as climate change, advanced artificial intelligence, nuclear security, and conflicts between the US, Russia, and China can substantially impact humanity’s future. In this talk, I will illustrate how cognitive scientists can help society make crucial decisions more responsibly. I will outline a theoretical framework for research on improving human decision-making, illustrate how it can be applied, and highlight important directions for future research.
